19th - 23rd July Professional development project combining creative media such as visual arts, music, movement and spoken word. Choreographer Stephanie Schober and pianist Emmanuel Vass facilitated the studio space throughout the week to explore new ideas for collaboration with contributions by guest artists. Dancer and choreographer Joshua Hubbard drew from the ‘House of Decay’ creative process focusing on vogue, dance, drag, fashion and art. Textile artist, zinester and tap dancer Seleena Daye's presented ways of creating personal narrative with her art with the use of of vivid imagery. Songstress and artist Rubie Green used vocalisation and choral singing as tools for introspection and solidarity building. Musician, dancer and choreographer Owen Ridley-DeMonick provided an insight into investigations of the politicised body. Poet, dancer and choreographer Oluwaseun Olayiwola shared his artistic process ‘radical wonder – infinite play’, exploring abstract representations of identity. The project was documented by Pav Putley.
